To Brand or Not to Brand...is it Even a Question?

Guest blogger, Joan Axelrod Sieglewax with Empowered Possibilities Coaching, talks about the million-dollar question plaguing many EXECUTIVES, MANAGERS, and EMPLOYEES without an advance degree in MARKETING.

To Brand or not to Brand?

To Post or not to Post?

Not to mention the GENERAL PUBLIC!

SO NOW YOU WANT US TO BRAND OURSELVES TOO?

Along with our GOODS and SERVICES??!!

YES ABSOLUTELY!

Today we are ALL brands!

Why not get your unfair share of ATTENTION?

What do you have to LOSE?

You actually have SOOO much to GAIN!

Risky?  Maybe?

Yet the POSITIVES out-weight the NEGATIVES, when it comes to making a SPLASH, CARVING OUT YOUR NICHE, DISTINCTIVE VOICE and PRESENCE on social media.

There is however a fine line between AUTHENTICITY and ACCURACY.

A slippery slope between LUNACY and FACT!

So, how does one put their BEST FOOT FORWARD and accurately represent themselves?

Can we still leave a little room for INTRIGUE and FUN when we enter the PUBLIC EYE?

How do we SHARE OUR PRIVATE WORLD with the WHOLE WIDE WORLD?

Will we LOSE OURSELVES in the process?

Can we ARTFULLY CRAFT and KEEP our hard-earned IMAGE?

RETAIN & MAINTAIN our brand IDENTITY?

Most importantly, how will we keep from EMBARRASSING ourselves in the process?

IT’S A MATTER OF TRUST!

  1. TRUST in yourself to say the RIGHT THING.

  2. TRUST in the AUDIENCE you have built.

  3. TRUST that they will be RECEPTIVE.

  4. TRUST that they are the APPROPRIATE audience.

  5. TRUST that they are LISTENING!

  6. TRUST that you have found the BEST and the BRIGHTEST to work with.

Be OPEN, FLEXIBLE, MALLEABLE and RECEPTIVE.

Surround yourself with a posse of TRUSTED ADVISORS to help you put your best foot forward.

RESEARCH, CRAFT and CURATE INTERESTING, TIMELY and RELEVANT messages.

TRUST your INSTINCTS and find the confidence to dip your toe in the water.

Then your foot.

Go on now, TAKE THE PLUNGE!
